Musician Entertainer - Master Bucket Drummer - Composer
" The world is my drum "..... That's how Jared Crawford aka " Choclatt " has described his life's mission, since he was just five years old. Choclattjared is a percussion prodigy who incessantly started playing drums at the tender age of three. By thirteen, Jared took his beats to the streets for the first time with fellow master bucket drummer and big brother Larry Wright, which from there he soon gained recognition as one of the world-renowned bucket drummers of the New York City streets and subway stations.
By twenty Choclattjared co-starred, created and choreographed all of the bucket drumming, Pot's and Pan's and industrial percussion in the four-time Tony Award winning musical, "Bring in Da Noise Bring in Da Funk” starring "Savion Glover".. This rhythmic composer also created and starred in his own critically acclaimed musical "Keep Bangin” at the Players theatre in New York City and was also the featured bucket drummer in the Radio City Music Hall "Spring Spectacular" starring the Rockettes.
Choclattjared drumming credits include songs " To Zion " and " Tell Him " on the five-time Grammy Award winning album "The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill”. Which he was also featured with a 20 minute drum solo on the world tour. He also has been featured by a broad spectrum of artists such as Rihanna, Beyonce, Savion Glover, Usher, Aretha Franklin, Alicia Keys, Carlos Santana, kelis, Andrea Dea.
Not only is he a master of the Broadway stage and album recordings, he’s also graced TV screens, featured in Social media, television commercials and ads for Puma 2023, Lee jean's 2023, DKNY, New York - Presbyterian Hospital 2023, Pandora Jewelry 2022, WWE Summer Slam 2018, Hp Computers 2019, Jet Blue Airlines 2019, Metro PCS, Capital One Bank, CBS Sports Network, Cingular Wireless, Burger King, 2017 NY Marathon, Genesis suv, Panasonic, NY1 Spectrum news, The New York Knicks.
Choclattjared talents have also gotten him guest star roles on a variety of shows such as Tedx New York, NBC's “30 Rock” starring Alec Baldwin, Sesame Street, "Are We There Yet" starring Ice Cube and Terry Crews. He has also been featured on the big screen in several movies, including "Conspiracy Theory" starring Mel Gibson, "Sliver" starring Sharon Stone, "Listen to your Heart" starring Cybill Shepherd and Breaking Brooklyn starring Louis Gossett jr and "Blues Clues Big City Adventures" movie 2022. He also penned the music scores for CBS's, "Blue Bloods" starring Tom Selleck as well as "Heat" starring Robert Deniro and Al Pacino.
From Street performing, to the big screens, Choclattjared continues evolving as an Artist, producer, bucket drummer, composer. Releasing music and performing around the world with his band "Tha Bah". Choclattjared is also a certified vendor of the New York State Board of Education. Teaching the youth about the art of bucket drumming with his ibucketdrum music and arts program.
